Thin lines, more light
Steel frames can be far thinner than wood or vinyl, so more of the opening is glass. That is why steel windows show up in kitchens, studies and the backs of modern homes.
A casement window hinges on the side and swings out like a small door. The whole sash opens to the breeze, and in steel it has the look of the old steel windows that started the style.
The less frame you see, the more view you get.
Glass and heat
Our patented thermally broken insulation is an upgrade on windows as well as doors, and it works the same against heat and direct sun. See thermal break doors. The glass is 5/8 inch insulated, in annealed, tempered or impact-rated glass.
Big glass should not mean a hot kitchen.
