Open the whole wall
A bifold door is a set of glass panels hinged together. Closed, they are a wall of glass. Open, they fold and stack to the side, and the room and the patio become one space.
In Houston and Austin, the patio is part of the house most of the year, so that matters. Not only do you get the view every day, but you also get the whole opening on the days you entertain.
The best room in the house is the one with no wall.
A glass wall that faces the sun
Most bifolds face the back yard, and many back yards face west. Our patented thermally broken insulation is an upgrade on any door or window, and it works the same against heat and direct sun. See thermal break doors.
Open in spring, closed in August, and good-looking both ways.
Built like our doors
Each panel is built in house from steel, with 5/8 inch insulated glass.
